Vice President Kashim Shettima on Sunday, joined other faithful at the Ramat Sqaure in Maiduguri, Borno State, to observe the Eid El Kabir prayers, where he prayed for prosperity and bumper harvest in this year’s cropping season.
The vice president also prayed for peace in the country.
He was accompanied to the prayers by acting Governor of the state, Dr. Umar Kadafur; Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Sen. Abubakar Kyari; Minister of State, Steel Development, Uba Maigari and Senator representing Borno North, Sen. Mohammed Tahir Monguno.
Other top officials of Government at the prayers were Speaker of Borno State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abdulkarim Lawan; Secretary to the State Government, Bukar Tijjani; Shehu of Borno, Dr. Abubakar Garbai Al-Amin El-Kanemi; Former Deputy Governors, Abubakar Jatau and Usman Durkwa, among other dignitaries.
