Bandits have killed seven civilians in Shiroro LGA of Niger State.
Two of the victims, Kabiru Salihu and Abubakar Karaga, were beheaded by the attackers suspected to be insurgents.
The villages attacked between Thursday and Friday include Lanta, Bassa, Kasimani, Unguwan-Madi and Makuda among others, where houses and domestic animals were reportedly set ablaze.
An anonymous local said “All in all, it was seven people who were killed by Boko Haram in Bassa.”
He said the humanitarian crisis at Erena camp has worsened as more villages were being attacked daily.
The Niger State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun could not be reached for comments as at the time of filing the report.
