The Kano State Private Health Institutions Management Agency (PHIMA) has announced the delisting and sealing off of Pallace Clinic situated at Kwanar Ganduje in Sharada Kano Municipal Local Government Area.
This was disclosed by the Director General of PHIMA Professor Salisu Ibrahim. Professor Salisu, who is also the head at Kano State Health disciplinary committee, said the clinic was shut down due to violations of regulatory guidelines for the conduct of private hospitals in the state.
He explained that the committee had conducted a series of investigations for four months to verify complaints received against the private health institution. He added that after receiving 11 petitions against the hospital, the committee had held series of meetings with the aim of rectifying the situations, but to no avail.
“Part of the recommendations is banning the proprietor of the said hospital in person of Dr Kabir from operating or working in private hospitals across Kano and delisting Palace Clinic from the list of private hospitals in the state,” he revealed.
