The Federal Government has announced a decision to include Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs) and manufacturers in the N200 billion Presidential Intervention Fund.
Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Doris Uzoka-Anite, disclosed this on Monday in Abuja.
According to the minister, the sum which was initially targeted at one million nano businesses across the country, will now be distributed to MSMEs and manufacturers as well, with each getting N75 billion.
She said the fund is aimed at boosting economic growth and industrial development.
Uzoka-Anite said the initial disbursement to nano businesses has been met with success, and the federal government was well on the way to supporting 1 million nano businesses throughout the country.
