Nine persons were killed and many injured in an attack in Te’egbe village of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The attackers invaded the village around 1am of Friday, Mr Davidson Malison, the spokesperson of Irigwe Development Association (IDA), has said.
This attack is coming barely two days after two farmers were ambushed and killed in Ancha village of Miango District of Irigwe Chiefdom in Bassa local government, it was learned.
Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong, in a statement by his spokesperson, Makut Simon Machan, condemned the attack and called on security agencies to fish out the perpetrators of the act.
Lalong assured the victims that they would get justice as the government would stop at nothing to unravel those behind the ugly incident that continue to disrupt the livelihoods of the people of the local government.
