The Minister of State for Labour and Employment Festus Keyamo, says participants of the Special Public Works will get 3-months stipends of N60,000.
He said President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to begin direct disbursement of the money through their Bank Verification Number (BVN).
The Minister disclosed this on Saturday on his verified Twitter page: @fkeyamo.
He said he had consequently directed the NDE to begin processing of the payments.
The 3-month programme, wich commenced January 5,2021, was designed to employ 1,000 Nigerians from each of the 774 local government areas in the country.
Keyamo said all arrangements had been concluded to ensure that fraud or double payments are eliminated.
He said the participants will receive the alerts soon but those who registered with different names on their BVN shouldn’t expect anything.
