The Bedrock Human Development Foundation has announced the award of scholarship grants to 50 students at the University of Benin (UniBen).
The Public Relations unit of the foundation said that the scholarship program was established to mark the 50th birthday of the foundation’s founder and chairman, Engr. Osa Owieadolor, who is a Distinguished Alumnus of UniBen and a recipient of the UniBen Heroes Award.
The statement further disclosed that the scholarship grants are available in disciplines of Accountancy, Architecture, Chemical Engineering, Economics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Geology.
Others are Law, Mechanical Engineering, Medicine, Optometry, Pharmacy and Petroleum Engineering.
The state also said that the criteria for selection included a minimum CGPA of 3.5, a minimum score of 70% on a screening test, financial need, and being a top performing female student.
The value of the scholarship grant is N150,000 per session and will be offered to the same group of 50 students for a period of 10 years.
The Bedrock Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2013 with the goal to supporting the education of Nigerian youth.
