400 Nigerians were killed in November 2021, a report by Beacon Consulting has revealed.
Beacon Consulting is a security risk management and Intelligence consulting firm.
Northwest, plagued by incessant banditry activities, has the highest number of those killed as well highest number of kidnapping activities in the month under review.
The report stated that the killings were mostly made by bandits, Boko Haram insurgents, security agents, unknown gunmen in the Southeast and others.
The report also indicated increasing in the number of criminal activities in the country especially kidnapper’s attacks on Kaduna – Abuja highway, jailbreaks and attacks on innocent people and properties in the south east.
The 400 Nigerians were killed in 28 out of the 36 states and 115 local government areas.
Kidnapping increased by 38% compared to October while number of those killed reduced by 41% compared to the 1031 killed in October.
In the north west, 204 were abducted when 163 killed mostly by rampaging bandits.
North West states like Zamfara, Kaduna Katsina, Sokoto and Kebbi have been witnessing renewed bandits’attacks.
In north central, 133 were kidnapped while 151 killed.
