36-year-old Nuhu Rabiu, on Tuesday died after he slipped into a well in Kano.
Spokesperson of the State Fire Service, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, said the victim was rescued unconscious but later died.
Abdullahi said one Garba Ali sent a distress call, reporting an incidence on Hadejia Road Gunduwawa, Gezawa Local Government Area.
“When our men arrived the scene at about 14:10, they found a man of about 36 years old, who fell into an open well ” he said.
Abdullahi said the remains of the victim has been handed over to the Gezawa Police Division.
