Three people have been killed and five others wounded when bandits attacked Ganji village in Igabi local government area of Kaduna State.
It was learnt that bandits had abducted some residents of Gamji recently, but one of the victims escaped back to the village.
A resident said the gunmen invaded the village on Tuesday and operated for hours.
He said the bandits, numbering about 20 on motorcycle, also set houses and vehicles ablaze during the attack.
The resident said a military helicopter hovered the village and adjoining area after the attack.
