No fewer than three people, including a woman and two children have died when irate youths attacked Fulani communities in Iganga, Ibarapa North of Oyo State.
The youths, allegedly led by one Sunday Igboho, invaded the communities on Friday, and set several houses at blaze, including the palace of the Fulani leader.
Some youths in the state had earlier issued a 7-day ultimatum to the Fulani to leave the state. The ultimatum elapsed on Friday.
Governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde, on Thursday vowed to deal with any group that threatened the constitutional right of other residents in the state.

The Sarkin Fulani of Ibarapa North, Alhaji Salihu Kadiri, said he had to run and hide in the bush when they learnt the youths were coming to attack the community.
“We fled for our lives when we learnt that they were coming. They burnt my cars and those of my children. They also killed an old woman, who I learnt may be my first wife,” he said.
It was learnt that security operatives were earlier stationed around the Fulani communities, but they were overpowered by the youths.
Governor Makinde on Friday asked the commissioner of police to arrest Igboho who gave the Fulani an ultimatum to leave the South-West.
