The Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), Kogi Specialist Hospital (KSSH), Lokoja, has commended Gov. Ahmed Ododo for implementing N300,000 monthly allowance for medical doctors working in state-owned hospitals.
The ARD-KSSH President, Dr David Omeiza, in a statement on Tuesday in Lokoja, congratulated the governor on his second anniversary, lauding his efforts to improve the state’s healthcare sector.
He praised Ododo for implementing the Doctors’ Interventional Allowance, adding the allowance aims to retain medical practitioners and attract skilled professionals to the state health system.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE reports that the allowance, which took effect in October 2025, has already shown positive results, with improved patient care, operational efficiencies, and public health response in state-owned hospitals.
Also, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) have commended Gov. Ododo for significant improvements in security and infrastructure within his first two years.
KONGONET gave the commendation in a statement jointly signed by its Chairperson, Hamza Aliyu; and Secretary, Reuben Joshua in Lokoja on Monday.
“Ododo’s administration has made significant impact in the areas of security, healthcare, education and infrastructure development in the state,” it stated.
Similarly, JP, the Olu Apata-Oworo, Dr Fredrick Balogun, also praised Ododo for what he described as qualitative and impactful leadership in his first two years in office in Kogi.
The monarch described Ododo’s two years in office as a period of massive social and economic transformation that has improved the living conditions of citizens and residents of the state.
