At least 25 people have been killed during multiple attacks in villages in Kauru local government areas of Kaduna state on Tuesday.
Three other people injured, 68 farms destroyed, and 63 huts razed.
Kaduna state commissioner for internal security and home affairs, Samuel Aruwan, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.
He said the attacks took place in
Ungwan Magaji, Kishicho, Kigam and Kikoba villages- all in Kauru Local Government.
The casualties recorded and properties destroyed in each location are presented as follows:
He said in Unguwan Magaji, eight people were killed, 52 houses burnt and 37 farms destroyed. Also destroyed are motorcycles, two bicycles, one generator.
In Kigam, four people were killed, seven others killed in Kishicho, while in Kikoba, six were murdered, three injured, 11 houses razed, and 31 farms destroyed.
Aruwan conveyed Governor Nasir El-Rufai condolences to the families of those killed in the attack, adding that the Governor had directed the State Emergency Management Agency to conduct and urgent assessment of the affected communities.
