The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is to resume its electronic membership registration nationwide March 1, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Spokesperson of the party, Dr Ejimofor Opara, disclosed on Friday in Awka., saying the registration would take place simultaneously across the 8,809 electoral wards nationwide.
Opera said in June 2024, APGA was the first political party in Nigeria to automate its membership registration process., adding that it was aimed at enhancing efficiency and broadening participation.
According to him, the electronic registration which earlier commenced, is open to all interested Nigerians.
“Prospective members are required to present a valid voter’s card and two passport photographs to complete the process.
“The registration can be done online via the party’s official website at www.officialapga.ng, through WhatsApp on 07055363333 or at ward centres where registration forms could be obtained.
“New members would be issued a temporary membership slip after registration, pending the issuance of their permanent membership cards,” he said.
The spokesperson clarified that existing members who had already registered electronically were not required to re-register.
He, however, advised members who are yet to upload their passport photographs to update their records through the party’s website or via the designated WhatsApp platform.
