The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has embarked on an official Hajj inspection visit to Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
The visit is to inspect residential and transportation facilities to ensure smooth conduct of the 2026 Hajj in the kingdom.
The spokesperson of the board, Suleiman Dederi stated this in Kano on Sunday.
He said the board’s Director-General, Alhaji Lamin Danbappa and Chairman, Alhaji Yusuf Lawan led the inspection visit to access the level of facilities.
“The visit is to ensure the welfare, comfort, and safety of Kano state pilgrims during the upcoming Hajj exercise.
“The board’s leadership inspected pilgrims’ accommodation in Makkah and held discussions with the Chairman, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON),
Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman, on strengthening cooperation and addressing operational issues.
“The board reaffirmed its commitment to working with stakeholders for a smooth and spiritually fulfilling Hajj exercise for Kano state pilgrims,” he said.
