Flynas and three other airlines have airlifted 2,111 Nigerian pilgrims to Madina, Saudi Arabia for 2026 Hajj.
Data from the NAHCON Command and Control Centre revealed that Flynas, a Saudi-designated Nigerian Hajj carrier alongside Max Air, Umza and Air Peace, had transported the pilgrims within nine hours.
The inaugural flight was conducted on Sunday in Abuja by Umza, where 473 Kogi state pilgrims were airlifted to the holy land.
The second flight was operated by Flynas in Birnin Kebbi with 418 pilgrims from Kebbi State airlifted to the kingdom on Sunday.
Max Air airlifted 560 Nasarawa State pilgrims from Abuja; and another flight in Abeokuta with 345 Ogun State pilgrims. Air Peace also evacuated 315 Oyo state pilgrims to Saudi Arabia from Lagos on Monday.
Speaking after the pilgrims take off in Birnin Kebbi, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of First Planet Travels Limited and General Sales Agent (GSA) for Flynas in Nigeria, Alhaji Umar Kaila, said the airline company has lined up six wide-body Airbus A330 for the 2026 Hajj operation.
He explained that four of the aircraft, have 430 sitting capacity each, and the remaining two planes have a sitting capacity of 345 each.
Mr Kaila assured intending pilgrims of seamless outbound operation, saying the airline has put everything in place to ensure the comfort, safety and convenience of the Nigerian pilgrims.
