The screening of presidential aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has begun in Abuja on Monday.
Former national chairman of the party, Chief John Oyegun, is heading the screening panel.
The screening is being done at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja.
The panel is expected to screen 23 presidential aspirants, it was learned.
APC spox Felix Morka said 28 presidential forms were purchased, but three persons — Chris Ngige, minister of labour; Timipre Sylva (state for petroleum), and Godwin Emefiele (Central Bank of Nigeria governor) — did not submit their forms.
President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Akinwumi Adesina, rejected the forms bought for him.
The aspirants are: Chukwuemeja Uwaezuoke Nwajiuba, Badaru Abubakar, Robert A. Boroffice, Uju Ken-Ohanenye, Nicholas Felix, Nweze David Umahi, Ken Nnamani, Gbolahan B. Bakare, Ibikunle Amosun, Ahmed B. Tinubu, Ahmad Rufai Sani and Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
Others are Oladimeji Sabon Bankole, John Kayode Fayemi, Godswill Obot Akpabio, Yemi Osinbajo, Rochas Anayo Okorocha, Yahaya Bello, Tein Jack-Rich, Christopher Onu, Ahmad Lawan, Ben Ayade and Ikeobasi Mokelu.
