Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex Senate Presidents Bukola Saraki, and Pius Anyim, have undergone screening by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
The screening commenced at the national secretariat of the party at about 10am on Friday.
The three aspirants were screened by the committee headed by the former Senate President, David Mark.
Other members of the committee include former governor of Rivers State, Celestine Omehia; senior lawyer Mike Ahamba; a former Ondo State governor, Olusegun Mimiko; Edward Ashiekaa, a legal practitioner and a women advocate, Hilda Makonto.
Others are former presidential aide Akilu Indabawa, Esther Uduehi and Hassana Dikko.
According to the committee’s schedule, other presidential aspirants awaiting screening include Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed; Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal; and Media businessman, Dele Momodu.
Others are Oliver Tariela Diana; Nwachukwu Anakwenze; Mohammed Hayatu-Deen; Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike; Sam Ohuabunwa; Akwa Ibom State governor Udom Emmanuel; former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi; former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose; Charles Okwudili; Chikwendu Kalu; and Ndukwe Cosmos.
