The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday, issued a certificate of return to its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
The former vice president was handed the certificate of return at the party’s headquarters, Wadata House, Abuja.
Atiku emerged the winner of the party’s presidential primary on Saturday, polling 371 votes to beat his closest rival, Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, who got 237.
Speaking during the presentation of certificate to Atiku, the national chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu, said the former vice president would be the next president of the country.
He noted there was no loser in the primary that produced Atiku, while calling on all stakeholders to unite behind the candidate.
