Jigawa State governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has acquired the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) expression of interest and nomination forms to contest for the presidency.
His media aide, Auwalu Sankara, said his principal sought President Muhammadu Buhari’s blessings before buying the form.
The governor hinted APC stakeholders in Dutse on Tuesday that he would join the presidential race.
“I will join the Presidential race since everyone knows I’m a highly qualified person to do the job,” he had declared.
The Governor was also said to have told the gathering during the meeting that he was pressurized to contest for the presidential seat by his colleagues.
