Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s presidential candidate has recieved some top party elders and stalwarts in his Abuja residence.
Among those who visited the PDP’s flagbearer include former Vice President Namadi Sambo; former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido; former governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa; and a PDP presidential aspirant, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen.
Atiku in a tweet commended the stalwarts for the visit, which he said, further strengthened the bond of unity in the party.
He said: “It was my honour and pleasure playing host to H.E Namadi Sambo, H.E Sule Lamido, H.E Attahiru Bafarawa and Alh Mohammed Hayatu-Deen.
“The congratulatory visit afforded us opportunity to discuss how to strengthen the bond of our unity in our party, the PDP among others.”
