Nigerian youths have been advised to contest the 2023 presidential and other elective posts.
A former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rted) gave the charge when he received a 2023 presidential aspirant, Prince Adewole Adebayo, at his residence in Minna, Niger state capital.
Adebayo who is the President of Kaftan TV and Founder of the Law House, was accompanied by a former Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, among others.
“Indeed, Nigeria needs the younger generation to take over from us the older generation. I am so happy that not only you, other young people are showing interest in taking over the leadership of the nation,” Abdulsalami said.
Adebayo commended Abdulsalami for his efforts in seeing the nation return to democracy in May 1999.
“The reason I have come out is essential because the country itself needs to be saved now and people like you risked your life for it literally and you lost many of your compatriots. Even the country hasn’t reached its full potential,” he said.
