Two police officers attached to Mile One police station in Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers state capital, have been killed by gunmen
The officers were killed on Okija street in Port Harcourt during a stop and search operation on Tuesday.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE gathered that gunmen, in a vehicle, opened fire at the police officers, killing them instantly.
There have been rising attacks on police stations and checkpoints in Rivers State recently.
Gunmen had in May 2021 killed seven police officers at two police stations and at a checkpoint, and burnt vehicles belonging to the Rivers command.
