At least 18 persons have been killed in an early morning road crash in Niger state on Sunday.
The accident happened in Gidan Kwano, along Minna-Bida road in the Bosso Local Government area of Niger State.
The passengers of the bus, which was said to have taken off from Lagos, were burnt beyond recognition.
Witnesses said the tragedy occurred around 5:00am on Sunday.
The bus ran into a stationed truck before going up in flames.
Spokesperson of Niger police command, DSP Abiodun Wasiu, has confirmed the incident and said it happened in the early hours of Sunday.
Mr Wasiu said the deceased have been given a mass burial close to the scene of the accident.
