Chelsea announced on Monday they had sacked manager Frank Lampard after a poor performance in the Premier League.
Roman Abramovich said in a statement that it was a very difficult decision for the club, because he had “an excellent personal relationship with Frank and I have the utmost respect for him.”
The club said they will not make any further comment until they have appointed the new head coach of their team
