Thirteen persons have been killed and several others abducted in fresh attacks in Plateau and Niger states.
The attacks took place between Wednesday and Thursday, it was learned.
In Niger State, eight persons were killed and many others abducted in Rafi Local Government Area between Tuesday and Wednesday night.
Three persons were killed Wednesday night in Maguzawa which is 25km from Kagara in Niger State and 12km from Birnin Gwari in Kaduna State.
Those kidnapped were women and children while many residents had fled their homes to Kagara and Pandogari in Niger State and Birnin Gwari.
In Plateau State, the gunmen attacked Shegyam and Dogon Ruwa villages in Wase Local Government Area killing five persons and rustling hundreds of cattle.
A resident of Wase, Abdullahi Usman, revealed that invaders came in the early hours of Wednesday, first attacked Shegyam killed two persons there and went to Dogon Ruwa and killed three more people and rustled hundreds of cattle.
The gunmen had attacked Sapio village and kidnapped two women the previous day Tuesday before attacking the two communities.
The police spokesman in the state, DSP Alabo Alfred, said reports from the field indicated that a wounded victim had been taken to the hospital and that he was awaiting more details of the attack.
