Eight passengers and three crew members aboard a private jet operated by Flybird were reported to have been evacuated unhurt after their aircraft crash-landed at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) on Sunday morning.
According to reports the incident occurred on when the aircraft, which was en route from Abuja, attempted to land at the Kano airport. Eye witness revealed that from indications the plane had developed some technical issues before the incident.
However, a source at the airport explained that the aircraft has since been evacuated and that none of the passengers or crew members sustained injuries. It was also gathered that those involved were evicted to the hospital.
Similarly, authority at the airport decline to comment insisted that only the aviation authorities in Lagos and the headquarters of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) can officially response.
