Eleven people have been killed in separate attacks on Ayom and Zongo-Akiki villages in Katsina-Ala and Makurdi local government areas of Benue state.
A security source told 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE that the gunmen invaded Zango-Akiki village early Thursday, killing five people, while many others sustained injuries.
The media aide to the Chairman of Katsina Ala local government, Tertsea Benga, confirmed the killing of six persons in Anyom community.
The state police command is yet to issue an statement on the incident.
