Bandits on Friday abducted 12 people, comprising 10 women and two men, in Kerawa village, Giwa local government area of Kaduna State.
One person was also injured in the attack on the community, which residents said went unchallenged for several hours.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE gathered that the armed group had also recently attack communities in the area, such as Hayin Dam, Rago, Unguwar Salahu and Zariyawa.
Jamil Kerawa, the youth leader in the community, confirmed the incident.
He said there has been rising attack on the community in recent time, and appealled to authorities to deploy security forces to the area.
“We need help in Kerawa because only God is protecting us,” he said.
The Kaduna State Police Command is yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
