Ten residents, including five children, of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) staff quarters in Igabi local government area of Kaduna state, kidnapped by bandits have been released by their captors.
The state’s Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, disclosed this at a press conference on Wednesday.
The victims were abducted on March 6, when bandits invaded the quarters around 12:10 am on Saturday after gaining access through the airport’s runway.
The rescued victims are: Mr. Ilori Sunday, Mrs. Celestina Sunday, Miss Beauty Oshaibie Sunday, Miss Miracle Sunday, Miss Marvelous Sunday, Miss Destiny Sunday, Mr. Samuel Sunday, Miss Deborah Sunday, Hajiya Badiyatu Abdullahi Gambo and Bilkisu Gambo.
Aruwan said details of the rescue location cannot be provided at this time due to operational expediency.
