The Nigerian military said its personnel gun duel with bandits in Batsari and Faskari local government areas of Katsina state on January 2, has left 10 bandits dead.
One soldier also lost his life during the battle, said Brigadier-General Benard Onyeuko, Director Defence Media Operation, in a statement on Tuesday January 10.
He said several arms and ammunitions were rescued, as the troops also arrested two bandits’ collaborators.
